Actress, writer & visual artist. I build raw, tender, unforgettable characters for stage and screen — and images that stay with you. Based in New York, working worldwide. Theatre • Independent film • Photography • Teaching.

Hello, I'm Andrea Auerbach — a New York-based actress, writer and image-maker. My work lives at the intersection of vulnerability and power: women in transition, families in flux, bodies remembering.
Trained in classical theatre and Meisner, seasoned in independent film, I love long rehearsals, close-ups, and honest ensembles. Off stage I write essays and shoot medium-format portraits — my series “Soft Power” was shown in Brooklyn and featured in indie press.

Lead — Off-Broadway drama about three sisters inheriting a house full of secrets. Premiere Spring 2026.

A night-shift nurse follows a strange light through the city. Festival circuit, cinematography award.

Chekhov reimagined in upstate New York. “Auerbach burns quietly — then all at once.”

Medium-format portraits of performers at rest. Brooklyn exhibition, 24 prints, artist book.

Indie feature, mother returning to her hometown. Improvised, intimate, shot on 16mm.

Original solo pieces and published essays on acting, grief, joy and the female gaze.
Drama, comedy, stillness. A cut of recent stage captures and film close-ups — from whisper to breakdown to laugh. Full reels and sides available on request.

“Auerbach holds the stage with devastating calm. You cannot look away.”
— NYC Stage Review on Three Sisters“A close-up made for cinema. Every thought reads, nothing is pushed.”
— Indie Film Notes on Static Bloom“Soft Power is tender and unsentimental — a rare combination.”
— Brooklyn Art Weekly
